Family house Csopak 2012-2017
In Csopak, the house on a sloping hillside with panoramic views of Lake Balaton was created with sustainable solutions and a contemporary outlook. We combined traditional massing and an architectural character rooted in tradition with new, contemporary architectural means and generous architectural gestures. The place, and starting from its context, played an important role in the design. The building seeks to make use of the favourable qualities of its inspiring setting and lives together with its surroundings. To the south it opens with large surfaces towards the panorama and the garden; the living space expands, and nature becomes part of the building. We set the large glazed surfaces back from the plane of the facade and shaped them as volumes.
