Family villa Budapest, District XII, Széchenyi-hegy 2023
Family Villa, Széchenyi-hegy – photo 1
We designed this family villa for a sloping corner plot on Széchenyi-hegy. In the siting concept we reinforced the advantages offered by the terrain and the surroundings. The L-shaped layout increases the privacy of the house, which opens with large glazed surfaces to the garden on the south. The large covered terrace forms a transition between inside and outside and creates a covered-open space that provides natural shade. The generous yet comfortable ceiling heights enhance the spaciousness of the interior, while the design, tailored to the clients' individual needs, adds to its homeliness. A well-organised floor plan avoids all unnecessary space. The covered entrance porch forms a transitional space towards the street. The brick cladding of the building reinforces a sense of timelessness; in the architecture, contemporary expression meets a classical architectural attitude.
