Our architectural concept is to create a distinctive, contemporary building rooted in tradition and fitting into the landscape, one that fully meets the needs of its function and can be built cost-effectively, operated economically and maintained sustainably. Throughout the design, we kept environmentally conscious and energy-saving solutions in mind. The siting adapts to the characteristics of the surroundings. The building has a gabled roof and is composed of three smaller volumes. We place the volumes at a suitable distance from one another and link them with a porch; beyond the architectural intention, these covered spaces are also required by the technology, that is, by grape processing and winemaking. The building has a basement. The ground floor of the winery houses the processing area and bottling room, together with the staff facilities and office. The tank and barrel storage of the wine cellar and the finished-goods store are on the basement level. In its architecture and use of materials, the building builds on tradition. The facade is rendered in a pale grey that is typical of the area.
